The US president remains “very optimistic” about the “evolving situation” in Ukraine
Washington and its allies have exhausted their efforts to arm and prepare Ukraine for its counteroffensive against Russian forces, US President Joe Biden has claimed after meeting with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the White House.
“We’ve done everything we could, collectively but individually in the United States, to make them ready, to support ..,” Biden told reporters on Thursday in a joint press briefing with Sunak in Washington. He called Kiev’s faltering attempts to mount an attack “an evolving situation where we’re very optimistic.”

During the Cold War, it was meticulously and rightly argued by scholars of various stripes that the Soviet Union created what was known as “godless communists.” These “godless communists” built their ideology on Marxism/Leninism, an essentially diabolical system that sought to eradicate religion during that era.

DeleteTop Dutch court rules on Crimean gold treasures
ReplyDeleteCrimean senator Sergey Tsekov described the ruling as “unlawful,” insisting that the collection legally belongs to the museums in Crimea which lent the pieces. “Such decisions are not surprising, but we have long understood that in these countries the law as such does not apply to Russia,” he said.
DeleteHowever, some Russian officials, including senator Kosachev, have pointed out that the Dutch court’s final verdict also inadvertently recognizes Crimea as part of Russia. “Legally, it was this circumstance that became decisive in this case,” Kosachev wrote. The politician cited an excerpt from the verdict which read: “On March 18, 2014, according to the accession agreement, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea became part of the Russian Federation.”
“There is a remarkable detail in this decision – based on the acts of the Crimean parliament, the Supreme Court of the Netherlands recognized Crimea as part of Russia. I’m afraid Ukraine did not count on such a result,” senator Andrey Klishas added in a comment to TASS.

ReplyDeleteVideo: Russian soldier chooses death by grenade to avoid being captured by the Ukrainians
DeletePut the page in English via the language button at the top right
This is because of the bad reputation of the Ukrainian soldiers who commit brutal crimes against Russian prisoners of war.
DeleteThe pin was already out of the grenade he held in his hand below.
If he were shot (which they did!) the grenade would go off automatically because his hand would no longer stop the detonator.
They could also have taken him at gunpoint from a distance and ordered him to surrender to them naked, as the Americans did to Japanese soldiers who had a reputation for blowing themselves up with a grenade plus the Americans , meanwhile assuring him that he would be treated well if he obeyed.
But that is precisely the problem because the Nazis of Ukraine cannot be trusted.
We do see images of Ukrainian soldiers who willingly and confidently surrender to the Russians.
The images make it clear that he had already been shot before the grenade went off with a slight delay.
DeleteHe could also have overcome his (death/pain) fear and shouted that he would surrender completely if he were treated as a human being and that he would not let the grenade go off.
Both sides act out of fear/aggression, fight or flight and that's how it goes in all wars and also among the animals, and just look at videos about fights between different clans of the same species of chimpanzees in Africa.
