Jesus Or Another Name? - Read my comments

 Apr 28, 2023

Should we be using the name Jesus or another name like; Yeshua, Yahweh or Jehovah? Research & watch on your own, but I will stand on the name above all names, the name of Jesus.

Please understand that Peter was an apostle for the Jews and the same goes for the other apostles EXCEPT Paul who is the ONLY apostle for the NON-JEWS, the GENTILES:
Rightly dividing the Word is the goal of this article, and it is an indispensable key to proper understanding of the Bible. The abundance of scriptural evidence detailed in the third section makes it very clear that Revelation is doctrine for Israel, which was written to Jews who believed in Jesus Christ, by an apostle of the circumcision, for direct application in the prophetic "kingdom" dispensation. At the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, God placed that dispensation in abeyance in 70 AD, to be resumed in the future tribulation.

The entire book of Revelation, including chapters 1-3, is deeply rooted in Old Testament prophecy. It is doctrinally aligned with the epistles of Peter, James, John, and Jude, all of whom were apostles of the circumcision, as well as to the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Hebrews, and the Old Testament.

The dispensation of grace in which we now live is revealed in Romans through Philemon, our Apostle Paul's letters to the Gentiles, with Acts being the book of transition between the two dispensations.

JESUS means 'I AM SALVATION' and 'I AM' is the name of God. YESHUA means the same in HEBREW. It's natural for Hebrew speakers to call JESUS, YESHUA, but it's UNNATURAL for NON-Hebrew speakers to call Him that way.
I'm Dutch and I call 'JESUS' JEZUS, and say something like Yaysus, and that sounds quite different than Jesus.
The French and the Germans pronouns the name of JESUS also differently, though the writing of that  name is almost (like in French) the same as in English: Jésus in French and Jesus in German, and in ALL languages of this world (and God is the creator of ALL different languages or tongues) the name of JESUS is pronounced differently or even written differently, like ISA in Arabic, but the MEANING stays the same: 'I AM SALVATION'. JESUS derives from the Greek Ié-sous and 'Christ' also derives from Greek: kristos, meaning MESSIAH in English or MASHIACH in Hebrew, which means 'THE ANOINTED ONE'.
Paul often wrote His name like this: CHRIST JESUS = The Anointed one, I AM SALVATION'.

The Jews were afraid of abusing the name of God (the word 'God' is NOT a name!) so they hid His name 'I AM THAT I AM' and 'I AM' in short (Exodus 3:14) behind the 4 letters YHWH, which was later 'translated' into LORD in the English Bible.
Of course the word 'LORD' is not God's name but 'I AM THAT I AM' and 'I AM' in short (Exodus 3:14)!
'Yahweh' or 'Jehovah' are ARTIFICIAL vocalizations of those 4 letters.  Btw. 'Jehovah' was used long before the 'Jehovah's witnesses' claimed that 'name'.
Saved believers in the Lord JESUS call God 'FATHER', just like the Lord JESUS did!

Jews whose mother tongue is English call the Lord Jesus 'JESUS' and think of the organization 'JEWS FOR JESUS'. And again: Jews whose mother tongue is HEBREW call the Lord JESUS 'YESHUA' and check out 'The Jesus film' according to the Gospel of Luke in HEBREW, and then you'll hear the narrator use the name YESHUA because he speaks HEBREW to Hebrews.

Matthew 24 is for AFTER the rapture during the coming Time of Jacob's Trouble or The Great Tribulation for Israel and the world.

We all need to be saved from having to spend our eternity in God's lake of fire, because that's a fate we ALL deserve.
So be SAVED and believe that God LOVES us so MUCH that He manifested Himself on earth as the Lord JESUS Christ who shed His sinless blood for the forgiveness of our sins, who was buried and rose from the dead, three days later, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
If you believe this you're not only saved but sealed with the Holy Spirit and rapture-ready.

  1. @1John1.9 JESUS is not from 'IZEUS'!
The calling name of YESHUA (His Hebrew name) was YESHU and in Greek that's Ié-sou, but because it's a male name an S had to be added which made Ié-sou Ié-souS.
The Germans pronounce the name JESUS almost like the Greek do: yée soos.
The Dutch write JEZUS with a Z and that's pronounced as yaysus, though it can also be pronounced as yayzus.
God's name is not 'Adonai' because that's something like LORD in English and LORD is also not God's name.
God's name is 'I AM THAT I AM' and in short 'I AM', Exodus 3:14
JESUS and in Hebrew YESHUA (for the Hebrew speakers) means 'I AM SALVATION'. So 'I AM' (God) in the capacity as SAVIO(U)R.
My name name Hans derives from the Hebrew name Yochanan and that was translated into Greek as Iohannis and that became Johannes in Germanic languages like German, Dutch and Swedish and it became John in English or even Ian and Giovanni in Italian and Jean (pronounced differently than in English) in French.
This name means (and also the female versions like Jo(h)anna(h) I AM is MERCIFUL = God is merciful, and in Hebrew 'I AM' is YAH, hence they say Hallelu YAH = praise 'I AM' = praise God.

Yeshua HaMashiach (Yeh-SHOO-ah Ha-Mah-SHEE-akh) is Hebrew for “Jesus the Messiah.” Yeshua is a shortened version of the name Yehoshua (Yeh-HO-shoo-ah), which means “Adonai saves.” Mashiach is the Hebrew word for Messiah
Jesus’ name from Yeshua Hamashiach got Hellenized from the Greek word “IZEUS” or son of Zeus. This, of course, would be a far cry from proper theology if we took Jesus’ name to mean “Son of Zeus.”

Don't let these Lie's fool you. If? We was able to. Actually go back and Walk & talk with Jesus The Christ.
The Only Person. We could talk to & communicate with fluently. Using English. Would be Jesus himself. Obviously. We would hear others. Calling Jesus Yeshua.

Exactly my Sister in Christ. Pray on this. Seat in Focus on Exodus 6 3.
The Holy Spirit will show you.

Hebrew was a dead language for over 200 years by the time Jesus was born. Nobody was speaking Hebrew at that time. All NT copies are in Greek. God bless!

@Tanya S Hebrew was a 2nd language of the Israelites in 30 AD. Greek & Latin was used predominantly Hebrew was not a dead language. In Judeo.
The NT is just not in Greek but Aramaic also. Joseph and Mary both spoke in Hebrew foremost.

@Tanya S Plus ALL Scripture of the Old was written in Hebrew. If Hebrew was dead & forgotten. WHY did Jesus refer to the OT?
They wouldn't know what he was talking about nore would they know of the Promise of his arrival.

  2. @Acts 2:38 B4 2 L8 Yes, Eve was made EQUAL to Adam but DIFFERENTLY.
In Christ JESUS there's NO DIFFERENCE between Jew and Gentile, Male and Female!
    Why?
Because we're ALL meant to be LIKE the ANGELS and angels are SERVANTS of God and CHILDREN of God, and I'm talking about the GOOD angels of course.

I have a Tindale Bible and Jehovah appears multiple times in it as the name of God. So B.S., she claims eve was equal to Adam? Guess the fact that eve was taken from Adams rib doesn't compute? Feminist denying Paul's teachings in another video.

  3. Yes, YESHUA is simply the HEBREW version of JESUS
and JESUS is simply the ENGLISH version of the Greek Ié-sous. There's is NOTHING wrong with the name YESHUA if one is a HEBREW speaker. So for Hebrew speaker JESUS is YESHUA and for English speakers YESHUA is JESUS....it's that simple!

So many changes everywhere, just like the Bible warned. 7Noahide Laws coming slowly too. (I have a video on that. Even though I don't trust Steve in there anymore, but still good info.)
    Enjoy the weekend!

@Matthew Clark The Lord JESUS never said 'I AM God' when He was on earth, but He used the 'I AM' many times like in 'I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life'.
The Pharisees knew why He used the 'I AM' phrase that way so they accused Him of blasphemy and they wanted to stone Him.
God called Himself I AM THAT I AM and in short I AM.
Moses didn't tell Him 'I am simply means God Alone Exists... period'

In the Paleo Hebrew Mesous was named 'Drawn from water.'
At the burning bush, he asked, 'Whom shall I say sent me?'
'I am the God who saves by water,' aka Iesous, pronounced Jesus. It is not an English name. It is Paleo Hebrew and Koine Greek, the Greek that was spoken when Jesus was born.

      THE GOSPEL OF SALVATION

      Delete
    2. Many Modern Christian sects erroneously teach salvation is by something a sinner DOES. They make a person's salvation dependent upon the works of the sinner. But nothing could be further from the truth of God's word. According to the Bible, salvation is by taking what Jesus DID on the cross of Calvary, when he shed his blood to pay for the sins of man. This FINISHED WORK, once and for all, is the only thing that can give man the new birth, forgiveness of sins, and eternal life.

The Bible clearly presents the Gospel in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4:

      1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
      3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Notice the Gospel is what JESUS DID FOR MAN, and not what MAN CAN DO FOR GOD!

A person is only saved by BELIEVING upon the finished work of Jesus Christ, when he shed his Precious Blood for our sins. This blood atonement was necessary, for without shedding of blood, is no remission (Heb. 9:22). God has always demanded blood for sin. In the Old Testament, God accepted the blood of a lamb. In the New Testament, God accepts the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the LAMB OF GOD, slain for your sins.

The Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 has five parts:

      1 Christ died
      2. For our sins
      3. Was buried
      4. Rose Again
      5. According to the Scriptures

An old preacher once said, "YOU CANNOT PREACH THE GOSPEL WITHOUT PREACHING THE BLOOD ATONEMENT OF CHRIST AND YOU CANNOT PREACH THE BLOOD ATONEMENT OF CHRIST WITHOUT PREACHING THE GOSPEL!"

This is absolute Bible truth! For salvation by Jesus Christ's bloody sacrifice on the cross is the only means in which God offers eternal life.

Just as we see the blood of Christ in the five wounds He bear on the cross, so we too see the blood of Jesus in the the five points of the Gospel.

Christ died. Jesus shed every drop of his precious blood on the cross of Calvary, dying in man's place for man's sins. His blood dropped into the ground.

For our sins. The Bible likens sin unto blood in Isaiah 1:18: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." Scarlet and crimson are the color of BLOOD.

If you believe this you're not only saved but sealed with the Holy Spirit and rapture-ready.
Read your Bible every day and talk to our creator about everything and make Him your best Friend and share this GOOD NEWS = GOSPEL with others.

    3. Was buried. Jesus Christ was buried in the same ground in which his blood was spilt. When Abel, died, we read the following words in Gen. 4:10, "...the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground." Shed blood speaks to God! Hebrews 12:24 then tell us the following about the blood of Jesus: "And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel." Christ's blood speaks as well!

Rose Again. When Jesus rose again, the Bible tells us Jesus Christ took his blood to heaven, and sprinkled it on the mercy seat there (Heb. 9:12-25), where it's still waiting to wash away the sins of the most vilest sinner! Are you washed in the blood?

According to the Scriptures. The whole Old Testament points to Jesus Christ as the Messiah. He's pictured time and again in all the sacrifices the Jews slaughtered in the temple for the atonement of their sins. When Jesus died on the cross and the sacrificial Lamb of God, shedding his blood, he fulfilled prophecy written of him all throughout the Old Testament.

So there you have it! The BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST is found all throughout the Gospel. You can't preach the blood, without preaching the Gospel, and you can't preach the Gospel without preaching the Blood. For the Bible clearly teaches salvation is by FAITH, without WORKS (Eph. 2:8,). Faith in what? FAITH IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

      Romans 3:25-28 make this clear:

      25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
To be justified, or saved, a person's faith must be wholly in the shed blood of Jesus Christ. This declares God the Just one. When a sinner is saved, he cannot boast about himself or his works. He'll only brag upon Jesus who saved him from his sins!

Sadly, in our modern age of apostasy, very few who claim to be Christians ever preach the blood of Jesus for salvation. But the simple Bible truth is, YOU CANNOT EVEN BE A CHRISTIAN UNLESS YOU ARE TRUSTING ONLY IN THE SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST!

the name for saved believers in the Lord JESUS is not 'Christian(s)'.
The term 'Christian' was invented by UNSAVED OUTSIDERS.
Paul never called himself a 'Christian' and neither did Peter.
Agrippa used the term 'Christian' because he was UNSAVED.

1 Moreover brethren, I declare unto you THE GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which ye have also received, and wherein ye continue,
2 And whereby ye ARE saved, IF ye keep in memory, after what manner I preached it unto you, except ye have believed in vain.
3 For first of all, I delivered unto you that which I received, how^ that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures,

Jesus is the only way. Not following others or pastors, no, they will not help you at the gate of heaven. Giving our hearts to Jesus is the only way to the Father.

@Missy daughter of YAHUAH%YAHUSHA Paul and the apostles literally “identified” themselves as Christians in the book of acts and 1 Peter. The word of God is my final authority for truth. I don’t really care what the Roman’s did. A lot of perverting of the truth since Christ rose from the dead from all avenues. For me, that doesn’t disqualify the truth in Gods word. You do as you please. But the word of God states plainly what a real Christian is (regardless of what modern day “Christianity” is or what perversions to the truth or words have been made over time. His truth is and always will be my final authority on any matter.
Acts 11:26 “And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”
Acts 26:28 “Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.”
      1 Peter 4:16
“Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.”

@lunar7777 AMEN!!!!! Thank you for those verses. It grates on me to hear people who say they love God, but deny Jesus and being a Christian. what are they then? who are they worshipping if not through Jesus the Christ? yes the meaning of christianity has changed, but I remain a Jesus the Christ follower. Isn't that what Christian means, follower of Christ?!

I had a short relationship with someone who believed this way, Hebrew roots, Torah only person. she was so sweet, always talking about obedience, but refused to listen to the TRUTH of our Saviour's victory on the cross, his resurrection and accession, and what that means for us today. it was apparent she didn't know the holy Spirit. I found I couldn't talk with her about God, the Bible, and so many marvelous things. made me sad, truly. they are stubborn and i would say even snobbish, because they think they hold the truth and are better than the rest, because we are not being obedient according to them. it doesn't feel like love when all they talk about is obedience. I don't think they have the holy spirit like us. something is lacking. that has been my experience 100% of the time whenever I try to talk with them. i pray for each one now that I see in the comment sections.

@Missy daughter of YAHUAH%YAHUSHA I don’t think Peter was an idiot when he mentioned Christian in 1 Peter. I don’t think the scripture is incorrect in any regard whatsoever. I don’t think the apostles chosen by God were dumb to associate as a Christian. Nor do I care to associate with worldly so called “Christianity”, the Roman Catholic Church or any “religion” for that matter. a true Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ. I let the scripture speak for itself and for the Holy Spirit to lead me and guide me unto all truth via the scripture. Precept upon precept. Line upon line. As it says in Isaiah. I am offended and repulsed by the modern day religion they call Christianity. But I am not offended by being a true Christian/follower of Jesus Christ. Thanks for the conversation, but I guess we’ll just have to disagree on this. May God bless you on your journey with Him.

    8. @1John1.9 It has nothing to do with the Romans, because the entire New Testament was written in Greek and in Greek Yeshua became (phonetically) 'Ié-sous' and 'Ié-sous became JESUS.
In older translations it was Iesu, so without an S at the end.
That sounds more like the short version of the Hebrew name Yeshua, Yeshu.
      The Arabs say ISA.
But the MEANING stays the same: I AM SALVATION.

    9. @Matthew Clark The doctrine of the rapture is almost 2000 years old, revealed by the Lord JESUS to Paul, so you believe the lies of people who don't know facts.
We don't get saved by loving the mother of JESUS and his earthly father Joseph and all the saints and by 'getting off our butts and live a good life' because we ALL DESERVE to burn forever in God's lake of fire.
So there's NOTHING we can DO to avoid this fate but by ONLY BELIEVING that the Lord JESUS has DONE everything possible to get us saved by shedding His sinless blood for the forgiveness of our sins, by having been buried and by His resurrection three days after His death.

      1 Corinthians 15:1-4 1599 Geneva Bible
1 Moreover brethren, I declare unto you THE GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which ye have also received, and wherein ye continue,
2 And whereby ye ARE saved, IF ye keep in memory, after what manner I preached it unto you, except ye have believed in vain.
3 For first of all, I delivered unto you that which I received, how^ that Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures,
4 And that he was buried, and that he arose the third day, according to the Scriptures

@Hans S I believe I'm saved and love Jesus with all my heart...and His Mother and Joseph and all His saints. But I do NOT believe in the rapture as it took hold in minds about 200 years ago. I wonder if it was a ploy to discourage Christians from getting off their butts and living good lives....it certainly took the verbs out of the many people's daily lives.

    10. Elizabethan Age, King James I disliked the Geneva Bible and made his views clearly known at the conference: "I think that of all [English Bibles], that of Geneva is the worst." Apparently, his distaste for the Geneva Bible was not necessarily caused just by the translation of the text into English, but mostly the annotations in the margins. He felt strongly many of the annotations were "very partial, untrue, seditious, and savoring too much of dangerous and traitorous conceits..." In all likelihood, he saw the Geneva's interpretations of biblical passages as anti-clerical "republicanism", which could imply church hierarchy was unnecessary. Other passages appeared particularly seditious: notably references to monarchs as "tyrants". It followed that the need for a king as head of church and state could be questioned also. James had been dealing with similar issues with the Presbyterian-Calvinist religious leaders back in Scotland, and he wanted none of the same controversies in England. Also, if annotations were in print, readers might believe these interpretations correct and fixed, making it more difficult to change his subjects' minds about the meanings of particular passages.
Title page of a Geneva Bible Apparently dated 1599 but probably printed circa 1616 to 1625.

So when towards the end of the conference two Puritans suggested that a new translation of the Bible be produced to better unify the Anglican Church in England and Scotland, James embraced the idea. He could not only be rid of those inconvenient annotations, but he could have greater influence on the translation of the Bible as a whole. He commissioned and chartered a new translation of the Bible which would eventually become the most famous version of the Bible in the history of the English language. Officially known as the Authorized Version to be read in churches, the new Bible would come to bear his name as the so-called King James Bible or King James Version (KJV) elsewhere or casually. The first and early editions of the King James Bible from 1611 and the first few decades thereafter lack annotations, unlike nearly all editions of the Geneva Bible up until that time. Initially, the King James Version did not sell well and competed with the Geneva Bible. Shortly after the first edition of the KJV, King James banned the printing of new editions of the Geneva Bible to further entrench his version. However, Robert Barker continued to print Geneva Bibles even after the ban, placing the spurious date of 1599 on new copies of Genevas which were actually printed circa 1616 to 1625. Despite popular misconception, the Puritan Separatists or Pilgrim Fathers aboard the Mayflower in 1620 brought to North America copies of the Geneva Bible.

1st and primarily. Is because it's the very first verse. I wrote in my heart. When I was a young child. Around 7. 46 almost 47 now. It's not the same verse now reads. The verse in my heart goes as follows.
If YOU confess your sins & be faithful and just. God will forgive you from all unrighteousness.

      Acts 19:1-6
      King James Version
19 And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,

2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.

4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

      1 Corinthians 1:10-17
      King James Version
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.

12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.

13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

      14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;

15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.

16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

    17. 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

Paul said to preach the same thing.
He said that he was not sent to baptize, but it didn't stop him from baptizing people in the name of Jesus.
And, don't forget that Paul was writing to the believers who had already been born again through baptism.

      1 Peter 3:21
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
What do you do with the rest of the scriptures?
Have you thrown them out of your Bibles?

      2 Peter 3:15-18
      King James Version
      15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

      No.
We don't get saved by ANYTHING we DO but through FAITH ALONE in what the Lord JESUS HAS DONE for us as stated in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
Acts is a transitional book between the Gospel of the Kingdom for Israel (which included baptism) and the Gospel of Grace, revealed by the Lord JESUS Christ to Paul.

    1. We're not living in the last days. Matthew 24 is about the last days AFTER the rapture of the Body of Christ and AFTER this era or dispensation of GRACE has ended.
