Important pre-Jacob's Trouble-rapture verses

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 King James Version
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 King James Version
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

'the day of Christ' is the day on which the RAPTURE will happen and 'a falling away' is what will happen after the RAPTURE

1 Corinthians 15:50-52 King James Version
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Philippians 3:20-21 King James Version
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Titus 2:13 King James Version
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ

1 Thessalonians 2:19 King James Version
19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

1 Thessalonians 5:9 King James Version

    1. Someone told me:

"Revelations was given to John long after Paul's death so by then the 7 churches mentioned by name consisted of many gentile believers as well."

      And I said:

This is not true (and I quoted)

In my research for this article, I examined the arguments of many advocates of the 96 AD date. Yet, aside from the lone statement of Irenaeus, I have found no support for the late date worthy of mention, nor any other voice to corroborate the account of Irenaeus within the first 200 years after Jerusalem's destruction. Centuries after the destruction, there were some writers in the fourth and fifth centuries who repeated the account of Irenaeus without questioning it. But these men are certainly not independent sources, and their acceptance of the account of Irenaeus cannot rightfully be regarded as evidence. Referring to those to whom Paul reasoned at Berea, Acts 17:11 says, "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Likewise, we should trust in the word of no man without proper evidence, especially when that one man, Irenaeus, admits that his information is second-hand hearsay. The external support for dating the book of Revelation around 96 AD is far too weak for one to allow it to influence, much less dominate, one's theological perspective on the book of Revelation.

We have seen scriptural evidence from Hebrews and First Peter and historical evidence from Josephus which support the theory that the seven churches of Revelation were composed of Jews who believed in Jesus Christ who were scattered into Asia from Judea during the early to mid-60's. These Jews were not natives of Asia who had received the mystery doctrines which the Apostle Paul had presented to the mostly Gentile assemblies for this present dispensation. Rather, under great persecution and hardship, they had been scattered into Asia and the surrounding areas from the land of Israel between 60 AD and 70 AD. Thus, the doctrinal background for these assemblies came, not from Paul, but from the twelve apostles of the circumcision, from their headquarters in Jerusalem.

Rightly dividing the Word is the goal of this article, and it is an indispensable key to proper understanding of the Bible. The abundance of scriptural evidence detailed in the third section makes it very clear that Revelation is doctrine for Israel, which was written to Jews who believed in Jesus Christ, by an apostle of the circumcision, for direct application in the prophetic "kingdom" dispensation. At the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, God placed that dispensation in abeyance in 70 AD, to be resumed in the future tribulation. The entire book of Revelation, including chapters 1-3, is deeply rooted in Old Testament prophecy. It is doctrinally aligned with the epistles of Peter, James, John, and Jude, all of whom were apostles of the circumcision, as well as to the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Hebrews, and the Old Testament. The dispensation of grace in which we now live is revealed in Romans through Philemon, our Apostle Paul's letters to the Gentiles, with Acts being the book of transition between the two dispensations.

    2. An example of such confusion is the teaching that the seven “churches” represent
      successive stages of Church history.

While this interpretation is widespread in Christendom, it has no Scriptural basis. It is fantasy. The seven “churches” in chapters 2 and 3 of Revelation are Jewish assemblies, not Christian churches. The language associated with them is wholly Jewish; no Pauline or Church language is present. Everything the Lord said was associated with Israel and concerned God’s judgment and how to obtain salvation during those seven years.

    3. In the Netherlands you will only find the Dutch word for 'church' (kerk) in the CATHOLIC bible.

The protestant Dutch Bible uses the Dutch word for 'assembly' instead.
People tend to associate the word 'church' with a church building, but a holy assembly of saved believers in the Lord JESUS can be anywhere and not only in a dedicated building.

    4. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4
      1599 Geneva Bible

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our assembling unto him,
2 That ye be not suddenly moved from your mind, nor troubled neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as it were from us, as though the day of Christ were at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a departing first, and that that man of sin be disclosed, even the son of perdition.

'departing' from the Greek word 'apostasia' is the rapture on the Day of Christ

The true English reformation Bible (first published in 1560), made in Geneva Switzerland, due to the persecution by the Roman Catholic church in England during that time, was banned by King James as soon as his version was published in 1611 and he persecuted the owners of this Bible, which caused the people who would later be known as 'the Pilgrim Fathers' to first flee to the Netherlands and later to what later would become the USA.
They brought with them the Geneva Bible, so this Bible is the first 'American' Protestant Bible and not the KJV.
Deceivers assert that this Bible was only made by the Frenchman Jean Calvin, known in English as John Calvin.
But this Bible was made by a group of men, and John Calvin wrote many footnotes, but he was absolutely not the only one who worked on this revolutionary translation.
Of course this Bible was (and is) hated by the true church of Satan, the Roman Catholic church, which is the disguise of the Luciferian-Babylonian Roman Empire, and King James also hated this translation for several reasons.
And that's why he ordered that a 'better' translation had to be made, without the footnotes of the Geneva Bible.
The good thing about the KJV is that it's much like the earlier Geneva Bible, and also based on the 'textus receptus' manuscripts, but several words and verses were changed compared to the Geneva Bible.
2 Thessalonians 2:3 is an example of that, because the Greek word 'apostasia' means 'departing' or 'departure' and not 'apostasy' or 'a falling away'.
THE GOSPEL, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is in both translations almost the same, which is good.

      1 Corinthians 13:13

      1599 Geneva Bible

13 And now abideth faith, hope and love, even these three: but the chiefest of these is love.

      In my Dutch protestant Bible:
13 En nu blijft geloof, hoop en liefde, deze drie; doch de meeste van deze is de liefde.
      Translation:
13 And now abideth faith, hope, and love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

    6.  @Daniel Blair  When is the day of your birth?
      On your birthday.

When is the Day of Christ (so not the Day of the LORD)?
On the day of the departing = the rapture.

The Day of Christ and the rapture are the same.

And btw: those with a little bit of knowledge know already who the Antichrist is: the disguised Luciferian Roman emperor, aka the POPE.
That was already disclosed centuries ago in the real reformation Bible in its footnotes, but then Freemason King James almost destroyed that excellent translation that was made in Geneva, and he forced his version WITHOUT such footnotes on the people so that they would NOT be informed.
King James was a secret servant of the Vatican!

      Are you saved?

We all need to get saved from having to spend our eternity in God's lake of fire, because that's a fate we ALL deserve.
So get SAVED and believe that God LOVES us so MUCH that He manifested Himself on earth as the Lord JESUS Christ who shed His sinless blood for the forgiveness of our sins, who was buried and rose from the dead, three days later, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
If you believe this you're not only saved but sealed with the Holy Spirit and rapture-ready.
Read your Bible everyday and talk to our creator about everything and make Him your best Friend and share this GOOD NEWS = GOSPEL with others.

The word "departure" in the Geneva bible still means a departure from the faith it's NOT the rapture of the Church, so it is the falling away.

The rapture of the Church is NOT going to happen until after the man of sin is revealed.

      Let's look at the verse...

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a departing first, and that that man of sin be disclosed, even the son of perdition.

It states a departing which is from the faith first and that man of sin be disclosed or revealed.

The "and" between departing first and the man of sin being disclosed or revealed connects to two together and that means both the departing from the faith first (the falling away) and the reveal of the man of sin must happen together NOT separately.

The departure for the faith or the falling away is leading to the man of sin being revealed and when he is revealed then the rapture of the Church happens that is what the verse is stating.

@Hans S  Yes...apostasia means departure I'm NOT refuting that fact, but that departure is NOT referring to the rapture of the Church it is referring to departing from the faith.

      Read verse 3 in context.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a departing first, and that that man of sin be disclosed, even the son of perdition.

It states that the day of the rapture shall NOT come until there come a departing first and that man of sin be disclosed or revealed.

The day of the rapture can't come until the departing comes first and that man of sin be disclosed or revealed that is what the verse says, right?

So how can the rapture of the Church be the departing in the verse if the verse is stating that the rapture doesn't happen until after the man of sin is revealed?

Has the man of sin been revealed or disclosed yet?

No, he hasn't otherwise the rapture of the Church would've happened by now.

So, that means the word "departure" has to be referring to something else and NOT the rapture of the Church, and that something else is a departing from the faith.

Both a departing from the faith (a falling away) and the man of sin being revealed must happen before the rapture of the Church happens.

That is what the verse is stating.

    7.  @Daniel Blair  You'd better listen to what Robert Breaker says, because even he as a KJV-onlyist
teaches that the EFFECT of the rapture will be the so called 'falling away', and this will happen before the Antichrist will enter the scene.

There is no falling away from faith among SAVED believers in JESUS Christ!

That whole term 'a falling away' is wrong as translation of the Greek word 'apostasia'.

Of course you believe the Pope is the False Prophet and that's exactly what the devil and the Vatican wants because they don't want people to know he's the Antichrist and the disguised Luciferian Roman emperor.

       @Hans S  I am saved I do believe (trust) the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

But I don't believe what you believe when it comes to the rapture of the Church happening before the man of sin is revealed because the bible states that the rapture happens after the man of sin is revealed.

The moment the man of sin is revealed the rapture of the Church happens and the man of sin is NOT the Pope.

The Pope is the false prophet who is going to form a worldwide religion to worship the anti-Christ.

The Pope has already been revealed as the false prophet because the Pope is currently bringing religious leaders together to form a worldwide religion.

      Delete
    8. @Daniel Blair  It all depends on HOW you read that verse and with what attitude.
I look forward to the Blessed Hope, the rapture and NOT to an apostasy of faith.
I look forward to the Day of Christ, and on that day the rapture takes place.
That day is only the Day of Christ when the rapture takes place, and when the rapture has taken place, THEN it is the Day of Christ and THEN the Antichrist will be revealed, because that is still held back by the Restrainer = the Holy Spirit = God-the Lord JESUS in spiritual capacity.

So what are YOU focused on?
On unsaved believers who fall away from their faith, or on JESUS who will take up the SAVED at the time of the rapture?

Realize that there are very many fellow believers who are NOT (yet) saved by the only true gospel, in which you also say you believe, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
Very many believe in the wrong gospel, because they mix the Kingdom Gospel of JESUS for Israel with the Grace Gospel of JESUS through Paul, and those who do are NOT (yet) saved.
Paul has taught us on behalf of JESUS that the only RIGHT gospel is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

What would you rather be doing: debating with fellow saved believers about 'a falling away' or reaching unsaved sinners with the gospel, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4?

@Hans S  When it comes to the rapture of the Church, I look at it the way that the bible says which is how I believe it now while still having the desire to save the lost.

One does NOT have to hinder the other as you believe that it does.

In fact you can use it to know how much time you have left to spread the word to those who need saving and even if they don't get saved before the rapture of the Church what you say to them now may end up helping them to get saved during the Tribulation Period.

Which is why I also tell the unsaved what I believe about the rapture of the Church and how they can get saved during the Tribulation Period as well as telling them the gospel that saves us during the Church Age today (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) so that when the rapture of the Church does happen they will know that God was responsible for doing it so that they won't believe the lies that will be told to cover it up.

If those that are left behind at the rapture don't believe the lies that will attempt to cover up the truth of the rapture then those people have a better chance of having a strong faith in Jesus during the Tribulation Period in order to resist taking the Mark Of The Beast.

    3. He also continues to emphasize that he's not a 'hyperdispensationalist' and that he has not understood about 'the little flock':
      Luke 12:32
      1599 Geneva Bible

32 Fear not, little flock: for it is your Father’s pleasure to give you the kingdom.

'The Little Flock' are Jews who had come to believe in Him on the basis of the Kingdom Gospel for Israel.
So it has nothing to do with the Gentiles and with the gospel of grace of Paul (on behalf of JESUS) for the Gentiles as unique apostle of the Gentiles.
The Little Flock are a separate group, separate from the Body of Christ, and they are saved differently, for the Kingdom Gospel is for here on earth and the Grace Gospel is for Heaven.
Hence saved people who are saved according to the gospel of grace, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 are called 'Citizens of Heaven'.

      Delete
    4. Robert Breaker mistakenly believes that the Body of Christ began with the 2nd chapter of Acts, but that was for Israel only and not for the Gentiles.
The Body of Christ began through JESUS with Paul, the only apostle to the Gentiles, and in this dispensation, the Gospel of Grace, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, is the only gospel that saves, both for Jews and non-Jews.

    1. We're not saved by the NAME of JESUS, because that's the Kingdom Gospel for Israel
, because they must believe that JESUS is their Messiah.
The Lord JESUS revealed to Paul the only Gospel that saves in this dispensation of Grace and that's 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 which is about what the Lord JESUS has DONE for us.
The NAME of JESUS means 'I AM SALVATION' or 'YAH IS SALVATION' and 'I AM' is the name of God. That's why we say Hallelu YAH = Hebrew for Praise 'I AM' = God

    2. You don't know what her last thoughts were, so leave it to God-the Lord JESUS. Maybe she did think or say 'Oh JESUS!' when she passed away.
Anyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved. All people who were or are true believers in JESUS outside of the Gospel of Grace, 1 Cor. 15-1-4 will get an earthly destiny during the Millennium. Be glad she doesn't have to go through the Great Tribulation and has to refuse the Mark of the Beast and endure till the end to get saved.
Realize that MANY people will get saved AFTER the rapture, but most of them will be killed by the Antichrist, but they will be resurrected at the Second Coming of JESUS because they'll have an earthly destiny during the Millennium, and after the Millennium they will be united with the saved members of the Body of Christ in the New Jerusalem on the NEW earth.

Sadly, my 89 year old lost adopted mom passed away on Monday. I literally found out in an blast email from her dead religion Methodist Church. My heart is broken but the Lord has me and I do have peace although I was hoping and praying she would go in the rapture or still be alive when the rapture happens. We absolutely need to share the gospel to anyone who will listen.
