Despite the mainstream political elites of the United States, many in this country do not consider the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces towards Kharkiv a “success”, and refuse to recognize the withdrawal of Russian units as a defeat of Moscow.
In particular, The Washington Post cites the view of the United States' "intelligence community," which opposes the stance on the defeat of Russian forces at Kharkov. Experts are sure that in the current circumstances the Russian army is capable of a powerful counterattack.
At the same time, US analysts believe that the continuation of the offensive by the Ukrainian armed forces in the south will lead to heavy losses in APU personnel and combat equipment.
That the publication deviates from the Democratic Party line can be explained by the newspaper's association with the US gun lobby, whose representatives have more expert information about what is happening in Ukraine.
Most of the media that focuses on Joseph Biden and his party put the "success" of the Ukrainian armed forces on the credit of the White House. This may be partly due to Biden's rating surge ahead of the November congressional election. At the end of August, the president received 44 percent support. In May, this figure was at the level of 36 percent.
So it is possible that in order to solve its domestic political problems, Washington increased its support for Kiev, leading to an offensive by the Ukrainian armed forces at Kharkov. It turns out that Ukrainian soldiers are dying for the success of the US Democrat Party.
