The timing is opportunistic. The US Govt is forced to print trillions of USD as it struggles to raise new debt. Another war would lead to a significant increase in inflation and an accelerated economic decline of the US.

The 'Palestinians' are simply Muslim Arabs who do not call themselves 'Palestinians', but they are not welcome in the surrounding Arab-Muslim countries because of their bad reputation.
And because they have such a bad reputation, should Israel share the land with them?
When the British controlled the mandate area 'Palestine', which they had conquered from the Turks, that entire mandate area was present-day Israel plus what is now Jordan.
So there is already a 'Palestinian' state: Jordan, east of the Jordan River.
But Jordan doesn't want to accept the 'Palestinians', even though many people live in Jordan who once lived within the borders of Israel.
Israel accepts Jews from anywhere in the world, but the Arabs refuse to accept their 'brothers' into their countries, because Egypt and Lebanon and Syria do not want that either.
Why?
Because they do not accept that there is a Jewish state, even though Egypt and Jordan have signed peace treaties with Israel.
The Muslim Arabs continue to strive to destroy Israel because the conflict is not about land but about religion: the god of Islam versus the God of the Jews.
The god of Islam is Satan because the false religion Islam was invented by the Vatican, which became a mixture of what Muslims believed before Islam came into being and what the Vatican created from it based on a twisted form of Christianity and Judaism .
This was deliberately done to create the problem that now exists.
Yet it is possible for Jews and Muslim Arabs to live together, because that is the case in Israel, as long as Israel is in charge.
But where Israel is not in charge, such as in Gaza, things go completely wrong because an extremist Islamic movement is in power there, which Israel compares to ISIS.
This movement (Hamas) is dictatorial towards its own population and the leaders of Hamas are billionaires!
It is impossible for Israel to reach an agreement with a terrorist state, just as Russia cannot reach an agreement with the terrorist state of Ukraine, as long as a figure like Zelensky and the Nazi Ukrainians seek the destruction of Russia.
So it is precisely Russia that should be able to understand Israel's position, but Russia also sees a two-state solution as the only 'solution'.
Russia does not really want to rule over all of Ukraine because it has plenty of land, but small Israel doesn't have that luxury.
Israel must, for its security and survival, cleanse Gaza of everything that wants to destroy Israel, just as Russia is doing in Ukraine regarding those Ukrainians who want to destroy everything that is Russian, with the support of the West.
Israel has no other option than to bring all of Gaza under Israeli control, and Russia has no other option but to take all of Ukraine under control to prevent a Nazi state backed by the West from ever arising again.
Israel cannot afford for a Hamas-controlled entity to ever arise again within the original mandate territory of 'Palestine'.
