Why Not Buddha? Hugo Talks

I'm 82 years young this year, and saw them early 70s when they played at the aquatic centre here in Perth, When they played Smoke on water, I can still see the kids by hundreds diving in,I'm still rocking but mainly in my rocking chair. Love and peace from Australia 😎🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵🖐

The U.S version cut the intro of Speed King by about a minute....this may have been mentioned down below...but the original opening featured Jon Lord playing keys then it exploded....either way love your reactions!

Hi Rebeka, as you supossed this is only the second half of the song. The first half was not recorded, and we never will know why.
This is from the Granada TV show in 1970.
Maybe you can listen to the studio version, that is not soooo fast as in this live performance.
You must recall when listen to Deep Purple, my favourite rock band, that they sound better live than in the studio, but maybe in this case I can say the studio version is as good as the live performance.
As you said, this is not your kind of music, but you can notice that this five musicians are not the common rock performers, they are very talented and gifted artists, everyone is an extraordinary master of his instrument. Jon Lord (R.I.P.) on the keyboards (organ or piano as you called it) is a classical lover who composed a symphonic masterpiece in three movements that was played by the band and the ROYAL PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA back in 1969, also you can check it on the web. He continued composing orchestral work until he pass away in 2012.
Ritchie Blackmore is a guitar monster who created an amazing band called Rainbow.
Ian Paice on the drums, is a precise and perfect timing performer at any speed he is requested.
Roger Glover on the bass, is a wonderful composer, songwriter and keeper of the rhythm section, and he always made it as easily as you can see.
Finally Ian Gillan on vocals was known as 'silver throated' in the 70s and he is still touring with Deep Purple nowadays more than 50 years after this records were made, although since the mid 90s his voice cannot get the classical high notes, he still has a tenor voice plenty of energy and sing most of the classical songs from the 70s.
They had a great guitar player, but a better organ player, and a better drum player, and a better singer, but the best is the bass player, who is only compared to the guitar player, this made Deep Purple on stage a very ferocious, but friendly competition to show who was the best, that's why they sounded like that, everyone wanted to be the best, so here is a band with five stellar performers, five of the greatest rock musicians together.
That is DEEP PURPLE.

DEEP PURPLE is a band with a super gifted talented Singer (IAN GILLAN) an awesome and consumated Gran Maestro on the Keyboards (JON LORD), an extraodinary and spectacular guitarist (RITCHIE BLACKMORE), an incredible and precise bass player (ROGER GLOVER) and an incredible awesome drummer (IAN PAICE) they said he is a mix of helicopter and automatic gun, and never out of tempo.
The solos (guitar and organ) are always impressive, always a battle to do it better than the other, they made their instruments roar and shine all the time, but the rest of the band are also into that battle, drums to the top, bass standing the line to control the fury of the band, and the voice screaming to the highest always, and everything to demonstrate who is the best, and they always do, on studio and even better on stage.
You have to watch a concert from Deep Purple in the seventies and you can see and understand how they fight (a friendly battle) from one side of the stage to another, to make the best music they could.
And they were only five!!!
Yes, but five supertalented musicians.
You have to enjoy more of Deep Purple music.

Moments before He spoke to me I was on my way to hell....in which I didn't believe....

The Holy..yes Holy Rosary will be the only powerful prayer against Satan in this coming end times tribulation and when the illumination of conscience happens the whole world will know the Catholic Faith is the true Faith that Jesus himself established, then there will be no excuse, every pope can be traced back to when Jesus gave the keys to Peter, also the Holy Bible was published by the Catholics ordained from God the Father..even if you don't believe Catholics is the true Faith the devil does and that is why the Catholics are and will be the most persecuted Christians..You need to repent.
