Maria Zakharova claimed that Merkel’s comments were nothing short of the testimony of a person who had openly admitted that everything done between 2014 and 2015 was meant to “distract the international community from real issues, play for time, pump up the Kiev regime with weapons, and escalate the issue into a large-scale conflict,” Zakharova added.
She said Merkel’s statements “horrifyingly” reveal that the West uses “forgery as a method of action,” and resorts to “machinations, manipulation and all kinds of distortions of truth, law and rights imaginable.”

To say that German politicians are stupid is to understate the danger they have placed themselves and the world in. Russia now has an opportunity to declare war against them, reference the Potsdam agreement and that means NATO could not use the attack one, attack all excuse. Having waited sixty years for a European war to be started by the West, I have to say that I never expected it to be caused by Germany again, but perhaps it won't if Russia has actually planned for this scenario to happen. But we have China to take into account and should they now join with Russia, this could be the defining moment of American existence. If they should fail, their financial future would be in doubt and the western powers will also find themselves very unhappy place and completely broken.

sirdavide, I’m pretty sure the vast majority of citizens in any EU country sees this as a sensible move. MrP now just can’t sit back here. The Wagner group, I’m sure, will be working on unblameable retaliations after all Germany isn’t too far away.
