Where's The Rapture in the Bible? - Read my comments

 Oct 14, 2022 Robert Breaker

Robert is totally right about the pre-tribulation-rapture, but I don't agree with everything he said in this video...

The members of the Body of Christ (mostly gentiles) are not going to rule over THIS earth during the Millennium because they will be AS the angels and they will never set foot on THIS earth again.
The members of the Body of Christ will set foot on the NEW Earth, together with the saved members of Israel and all the saved people of all times, beginning with Adam and Eve.
If there's one clear EXAMPLE of the rapture in the Old Testament then it's what happened to Enoch, but this example doesn't have anything to do with the pre-tribulation-rapture prophesied by Paul on behalf of JESUS.
The King James translation (on behalf of the Church of England) changed 'departing' into 'a falling away':
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 King James Version
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

'the day of Christ' is the day on which the RAPTURE will happen and 'a falling away' is what will happen after the RAPTURE

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 1599 Geneva Bible
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our assembling unto him,
2 That ye be not suddenly moved from your mind, nor troubled neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as it were from us, as though the day of Christ were at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a departing first, and that that man of sin be disclosed, even the son of perdition.
4 Which is an adversary, and exalteth himself against all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he doth sit as God in the Temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

'the day of Christ' is the day on which the RAPTURE will happen and 'departing' is the RAPTURE and 'a falling away' (KJV) is the effect of the rapture among left behind believers
The Body of Christ including the rapture was a MYSTERY which was ONLY revealed by JESUS to Paul:
Ephesians 3:9
King James Version

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ
The Body of Christ is NOT 'the Bride of Christ'!

The Lord JESUS wasn't preaching to the Body of Christ in John 14:1-3 but to Israel.
The Lord JESUS only revealed the pre-tribulation-rapture to Paul!

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 King James Version
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

We all need to get saved from having to spend our eternity in God's lake of fire, because that's a fate we ALL deserve.
So get SAVED and believe that God LOVES us so MUCH that He manifested Himself on earth as the Lord JESUS Christ who shed His sinless blood for the forgiveness of our sins, who was buried and rose from the dead, three days later, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
If you believe this you're not only saved but sealed with the Holy Spirit and rapture-ready.
Read your Bible everyday and talk to our creator about everything and make Him your best Friend and share this GOOD NEWS = GOSPEL with others.

Wow! Quite a rapture study! For myself I know our being a "heavenly" body...we will have Celestial bodies. But "like the angels"? Idk. But 1 Cor.15 does say there terrestrial bodies (earthly) and celestial bodies(heavenly)... When our RISEN Christ "appeared" to Saul he was "brighter than the midday sun."

Acts 26:13 At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

Is interesting as this is an "APPEARING" OF THE LORD! Am not sure if all catch this or not...?

Acts 26:16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: FOR I HAVE APPEARED UNTO THEE for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;..
So that's fun! I guess we get to think on it! Am excited to be with the Lord and our brethren... In PEACE, and perfect harmony!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ™.

    1. In my research for this article, I examined the arguments of many advocates of the 96 AD date
. Yet, aside from the lone statement of Irenaeus, I have found no support for the late date worthy of mention, nor any other voice to corroborate the account of Irenaeus within the first 200 years after Jerusalem's destruction. Centuries after the destruction, there were some writers in the fourth and fifth centuries who repeated the account of Irenaeus without questioning it. But these men are certainly not independent sources, and their acceptance of the account of Irenaeus cannot rightfully be regarded as evidence. Referring to those to whom Paul reasoned at Berea, Acts 17:11 says, "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." Likewise, we should trust in the word of no man without proper evidence, especially when that one man, Irenaeus, admits that his information is second-hand hearsay. The external support for dating the book of Revelation around 96 AD is far too weak for one to allow it to influence, much less dominate, one's theological perspective on the book of Revelation.

We have seen scriptural evidence from Hebrews and First Peter and historical evidence from Josephus which support the theory that the seven churches of Revelation were composed of Jews who believed in Jesus Christ who were scattered into Asia from Judea during the early to mid-60's. These Jews were not natives of Asia who had received the mystery doctrines which the Apostle Paul had presented to the mostly Gentile assemblies for this present dispensation. Rather, under great persecution and hardship, they had been scattered into Asia and the surrounding areas from the land of Israel between 60 AD and 70 AD. Thus, the doctrinal background for these assemblies came, not from Paul, but from the twelve apostles of the circumcision, from their headquarters in Jerusalem.

Rightly dividing the Word is the goal of this article, and it is an indispensable key to proper understanding of the Bible. The abundance of scriptural evidence detailed in the third section makes it very clear that Revelation is doctrine for Israel, which was written to Jews who believed in Jesus Christ, by an apostle of the circumcision, for direct application in the prophetic "kingdom" dispensation. At the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, God placed that dispensation in abeyance in 70 AD, to be resumed in the future tribulation. The entire book of Revelation, including chapters 1-3, is deeply rooted in Old Testament prophecy. It is doctrinally aligned with the epistles of Peter, James, John, and Jude, all of whom were apostles of the circumcision, as well as to the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Hebrews, and the Old Testament. The dispensation of grace in which we now live is revealed in Romans through Philemon, our Apostle Paul's letters to the Gentiles, with Acts being the book of transition between the two dispensations.

    2. An example of such confusion is the teaching that the seven “churches”
represent successive stages of Church history.
While this interpretation is widespread in Christendom, it has no Scriptural basis. It is fantasy. The seven “churches” in chapters 2 and 3 of Revelation are Jewish assemblies, not Christian churches. The language associated with them is wholly Jewish; no Pauline or Church language is present. Everything the Lord said was associated with Israel and concerned God’s judgment and how to obtain salvation during those seven years.

    3. @MARK ROBERTS MINISTRIES There are no such churches in western Turkey, former western Asia Minor anymore.

And Islamic Turkey will not allow them to re-exist again.
Conclusion: Revelation 2-3 have been fulfilled in the past, the rest of Revelation not.
Robert Breaker is wrong when he states that Revelation was written after the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD.
      It was written before that.

The seven churches will exist in the tribulation. No doubt about it if you study it out.The instructions are for the tribulation churches. Book of prophesy. Kings and priests on the earth is clearly Israel and it's applied to us constantly Exodus uses same language.A peculiar nation kings and priests ( Israel) Good teaching. I agree with almost everything you said brother.

The 7 churches of Revelation 2 and 3 WERE Jewish assemblies of believers in JESUS and they were in Asia Minor which is now western Turkey.

Why would the true believers of the Gospel of Jesus go through the tribulation? Revelation 3:10 states otherwise.

@Hans S These are future churches that will exist in the tribulation period. Headed by angels if you read it carefully. And they must overcome or endure Daniels 70th week..I know that churches existed in Asia minor. I get that . But these instructions in Revelation are for the future.

@Johnny Kasselman No, because the Body of Christ was not revealed to John and only to Paul, so John doesn't mention it.
Everything he saw and heard was related to Israel.
The Body of Christ is a separate entity from Israel and on the New Earth under the New Heaven those two entities will merge, but not before that.

Dear child of God ..in that case , do you see Rev 4:1 strictly a call for John "come up hither " and in no way alluding to the RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH ..?

    5. There is no mid-trib and post-trib-rapture.

      Why?
Because we live in the dispensation of Grace and after the rapture will come the Time of Jacobs Trouble aka the Great Tribulation.
That's for Israel and the world and not for the Body of Christ.
During the coming Time of Jacobs Trouble the prophecies will be fulfilled and without the rapture the prophecies cannot be fulfilled.
During the dispensation of Grace since Paul there were and are no prophecies being fulfilled.
There's only ONE prophecy that is important to the Body of Christ: the rapture.

I've always believed in a pre tribulation rapture and love your teachings but I got thinking the other day a about wouldn't it be cool and just like God to have mid trib and post trib also correct. That way when we're all in heaven talking about it everybody would be right. Most christians get so angry over non salvational issues and in the and in the end everyone will be correct in their theology. God is so awesome!

    1. I totally disagree with this: the rapture was revealed by JESUS only to Paul and until then it was a mystery
, so that means there is no trace of it either in the Old Testament or in the epistles of the apostles to the Jews like Peter and John.

    2. Most churches in Christendom teach the Church is the “bride of Christ.”
But the phrase “bride of Christ” does not occur in the Bible. Furthermore, the imagery of the Church as bride is thin at best. The goal of this study is to examine whether the teaching that the Church, the body of Christ, is the bride of Christ has Biblical merit.
